	On November 28 Study Tour was held. 39 participants took the bus to Harie district in Shinasahi town. There the residents make efforts to preserve the tradition and culture, that is to say they make effective utilization of affluent spring water by constructing "Kabata" inside or outside thier house. The participants were so impressed their activities. In the afternoon we enjoyed walking in the forest with a good guide. He taught us how to distinguish animals' droppings and features of trees. We had a very good time.


	One-day OJT for JICA trainees and exchanges with ABECI members On February 3 we had an exchange meeting with 10 specialists in water quality from JICA and 6 foreign students from Ritsumei University. We visited Kanagamori town to see their activities, a private house to see a water recycling system and then inspected water quality using quick water quality test kit at two points. Foreign participants had a great interest in a cost of the wataer recycling system and the water quality test kit. We inspected water quality cooperatively and discussed the results. At night we had a very good time over a dinner and could promote better exchange and understanding
